Rodman Reservoir, or Lake Ocklawaha, is an artificial reservoir located on the Ocklawaha River in Putnam County and Marion County in north central Florida. The reservoir, located about 15 miles southwest of Palatka, is approximately 15 miles (24 km) in length, covers 13,000 acres (5,300 ha), and is located between State Road 19 on the east and State Road 315 on the west. It is also a premier largemouth bass fishery for Northeast Florida. Ocklawaha gets its name from the Ocklawaha River, which flows for 74 miles in total. Located 20 minutes from downtown Fort McCoy with a grocery store, doctor's office, pharmacy, hardware, gas station, pizza, and more. It is a short drive to Silver Springs, which includes Walmart, Lowes, Bealls, Outback, and many more of your favorite shopping spots and restaurants. Ocala is only another 10 minutes from Silver Springs with vibrant nightlife and lots of entertainment options and restaurants. Gainesville (Home of University of Florida Gators) is only 50 minutes to downtown. If you’re a fisherman or hunter or simply love hiking, canoeing, or kayaking, you are in luck! Minutes to Ocklawaha River, Ocala National Forest, and many natural springs (Salt Springs, Silver Glen Springs, Juniper Springs), horseback and walking trails, and off-road vehicle trails await your explorations. One-of-a-kind property and location! Ready for new owners!
